Tirau

Tirau is a leisurely 20 minute drive from the Cottage. Visit the giant sheep and dog made out of corrugated iron and sample the many great shops and cafes Tirau has to offer.

Castle Rock

Castle Rock is located 20 minutes from the Cottage and is the Waikato's adventure destination that is world reknown as a rockclimbing destination. Castle Rock also caters for your mountain biking and abseiling adventure needs.

Waitomo Caves

Waitomo Caves are located an hours drive from Lakeside Farm Cottage. Experience the unique underground limestone formations that have become one of New Zealand's natural wonders and a must-see destination. As well as exploring the caves, you can try Black Water Rafting or you can visit the world famous Waitomo Glow Worm Caves.
